Description

Top Hutch Shelf Space: 11.25" and 11", Base Shelf Space: 8.25" and 8". The shelf in the top is 27 ¾” W x 11” D. The fixed shelf in the base is 29 ½” W x 23 ½” D. The two drawers are 10 3/8” W x 10 3/8” D x 3 3/8” H.

The 26” D does not include the pull-out shelf. The dimensions between the shelves in the top section are 11 ¼” and 11”. The height of the space between the top and the bottom of the hutch is 10 1/8”. There is one fixed shelf in the bottom with 8 ¼” to the shelf and 8” to the bottom. The shelf in the base is 23 ¾” deep. Pull out shelf is 18" deep when pulled out.

NOTE: All painted pieces are finished with a clear, satin, acrylic lacquer. Bright natural light reflected or direct sunlight can cause changes in the pine that is used in these pieces - especially light-painted colors. Knots, heavy resin streaks, and seasonal cracking are all natural characteristics of pine products. As they age and are exposed to light these characteristics can become more a prominent part of the finish. This is a natural process in pine furniture giving it an antique look.

Constructed of solid pine, however, Luan wood is also used for some cabinet applications, such as backs, side panels, and bottom drawers. Our History

2 Day got its start producing small accents and occasional tables from reclaimed lumber. The majority of the lumber used was taken from the Old Sears Catalogue Distribution Center in Atlanta. We would go on to purchase and reclaim lumber from six of these facilities scattered across the Southeast. We were also able to develop a line of products using teak reclaimed from discarded railway ties from the South African Railroad. Whenever possible sawmill shorts, off-fall, and off-spec materials were used in our processes.

Color variation, distressing, and wood character are key elements in this handmade furniture line. We pride ourselves in enhancing wood's natural character with hand distressing, sanding, and eight different finish options. Circle saw marks are welcome here. Some of our products may even have visible numbers or write from their time spent in the vineyards. Just like us, our products have a story to tell.
